Maurice Rösch to receive state honours for Karate achievements

Having won the Kata bronze medal in the U18 European Championships earlier this year, Karateka Maurice Rösch will be honoured by the state of Basel-Land with the Junior state’s sport award 2015.

Maurice has claimed the national Swiss Championship in different Karate disciplines five times before. In 2014 he recieved the Grand-Slam Award after victories in every national tournement and the Swiss Championship.

With his 18 years of age, Maurice is currently in Indonesia at the U21 World Championship. Being much younger than his contenders, he is facing the world’s greatest talents.

Maurice is also an apprentice at Ozean, currently completing the last year of his education.
