We are pleased to announce the launch of East Africa Feeder Service (EAF)

Rotation: Dar Es Salaam / Zanzibar / Pemba / Mtwara / Dar Es Salaam
Frequency: 14 days
Commencement: in April 2013 - actual dates to be advised

Transhipment Hub: Dar es Salaam to connect with the Asia and India/Pakistan/Middle East services of PIL.

Beside covering the Tanzania and Mozambique ports, we also open to serve nearby region (example Comoros, Quelimane, Tanga) on Inducement basis.
With the vessel size of 350 Teu we can offer opportunities to call any port in the region on inducement basis

Surcharges to/from East African / Red Sea and Indian Ocean destinations for March 2013.

Please take note of the following:

CAF for April 2013 for SB shipments – increased to 8.5 %

BAF EA for April 2013 for SB shipments – increased to USD 860/Teu

BAF RS for April 2013 for SB shipments – increased to USD 515/Teu - to Port Sudan EUR 390/Teu

BAF EA + RS for April 2013 for NB shipments – remain at USD 300/Teu - ex Port Sudan EUR 310/Teu

CSC Dar es Salaam (for Tanzanian imports only – unchanged - not applicable on border crossing cargo under merchant or carrier haulage via Dar es Salaam

PIL - Beira congestion surcharge

Please be have advised that Beria port is facing severe berthing congestion with average berthings delays of 14 days.  Further, Beira port have announced the closure to one berth for around 6 weeks to mount new gantry cranes facilities in the port, which means we will be expecting berth delay at Beira to worsen in Mar 13.

In view of above, PIL have decided to impose a Congestion Surcharge for all shipments into and out from Beria w.e.f
1 March 2013, basis on Shipped on Board date (SOB date). Quantum as follows: 

1)  USD200/TEU for Import into Beria (Westbound)
2)  USD200/TEU for Export into Beria (Eastbound)

This congestion surcharge to be payable by freight payer.

Grimaldi - New UK THC

Please be advised that Terminal Handling Charges for containerised exports and imports for all UK ports (Tilbury, Liverpool, Hull, Belfast) will be set at the following levels from 1st April 2013.

This change applies to all trades.

Import and Export
Tilbury, Liverpool, Hull, Belfast
GBP 125 per container (dry)
GBP 275 per container (reefer)
