W.E.C. - new weekly direct service to/from Spain and Portugal

West European Container (W.E.C) Lines B.V. is pleased to announce the start of the new shortsea container service SPM II, which will commence its weekly routing in Antwerp on 4 May 2013. Two Sietas type 168 container vessels , the mv “Bjorg” and the mv “Robert” will be exploited for the

direct service to- and from Spain and Portugal.

The SPM II service comes in addition to the already well known and long existing W.E.C. SPM I service and is scheduled to rotate as follows:

Antwerp – Vigo – Leixoes – Sines – Lisbon – Rotterdam – Tilbury – Antwerp

SPM II calls at Tilbury (LCT terminal) whereas SPM I calls at Felixtowe, as such the service provides for an improved access to UK and the London area in particular. Also Antwerp is called at directly.

High frequency, reliability, direct calls at all ports, fast transits, all types of equipment including specials are a few of the key words that describe this new liner service.

All in combination with a network of professional agents, now positioned even better than before to meet your requirements for door-to-door-  and feeder-shipments to- and from the Iberian Peninsula and beyond, since W.E.C. Lines is serving  Morocco, Canary Islands , Cape Verde Islands, Madeira and Azores as well.

PIL - Beira congestion surcharge lifted

In view the berthing situation have improved at Beira, PIL have decided to remove the Beira congestion surcharge w.e.f 1st May 2013 (basis on SOB date)

CAF for May 2013 for SB shipments – decreased to 7.15 %

BAF EA for May 2013 for SB shipments – decreased to USD 840/Teu

BAF RS for May 2013 for SB shipments – decreased to USD 490/Teu - to Port Sudan EUR 385/Teu

BAF EA + RS for May 2013 for NB shipments – remain at USD 300/Teu - ex Port Sudan decreased to EUR 300/Teu

CSC Dar es Salaam (for Tanzanian imports only – unchanged - not applicable on border crossing cargo under merchant or carrier haulage via Dar es Salaam

Grimaldi - Right Hand Drive (RHD) Vehicles in Liberia

Please note that the importation of RHD vehicles in Liberia is prohibited.
In case where a RHD vehicle will be discharged in the country, it will be seized by the government and a fine will be issued to the Consignee.
