W.E.C. - East African service

23.01.2012

In order to create a more stable connection for the East African imports, following changes have been made in the services moving cargo to East Africa:

·         East Africa – South Africa service – reduction of capacity to 3 vessels only

·         East Africa – Salalah service – increase of the capacity to 6 vessels

On top of the increase of capacity on the SLL – EA trade, we will continue to make dedicated calls to Dar es Salaam and Mombasa which results in the following theory:

·         3 vessels available to cover – SLL – MBA – SLL leg

·         3 vessels available to cover – SLL – DAR – SLL leg

·         This should result in 3 to 4 sailings a month to each port

Congestion in both Dar es Salaam and Mombasa will continue to have an effect on the turn-around-time of the vessels but at least through the split one port will not suffer from the other.

Indications given on the a.m. in the latest schedule for this service are indicating the same.

As a consequence of this change of capacity and dedicated calls in EA, we would like to inform you that as from the following sailing from NWC all cargo bound for DAR/MBA will move via SLL (and no  exceptions via Coega):

MV Pucon voy. IP1205A

·         ETA RTM – 01-02-2012

·         ETA ANR – 03-02-2012

·         ETA FLX – 05-02-2012

ETA SLL -23-02-2012
